The fact that Verdi's name appears on both of those projects, back to back, tells you something about the relationships he'd built and the credibility he'd earned. Alongside the Scorsese work, he produced *Bleed for This* (2016), the Miles Teller vehicle about boxer Vinny Pazienza's comeback from a near-fatal car accident, and *Vault*, featuring Theo Rossi. His company, Verdi Productions, operates as a fully funded independent outfit — over $200 million invested across its film slate (IMDb) — which gives Verdi a degree of creative and financial autonomy that's genuinely rare outside the studio system. Hard to say if that model scales indefinitely, but the output over nine-plus years suggests it's working.
