Hard to say if Wyatt would have landed the same way with a different actor in the role, but Tahan made the character's tragedy feel earned rather than manufactured.

There's a version of this career that stalls after a big childhood credit. That version doesn't happen here. Tahan's trajectory from I Am Legend to a sustained adult career in prestige television is the less common outcome, and it's worth noting plainly. He's not chasing franchise blockbusters or angling for awards-bait biopics — at least not visibly. What he appears to be doing is choosing work that fits, building a filmography that holds together on its own terms.
