Dhamija's career started where a lot of Indian TV careers do — through an acting academy and a supporting role on a primetime serial. His turn as Shekhar Sharma in *Agniphera* (2017) was the opening, followed by a recurring presence in *Guddan Tumse Na Ho Payega* (2018–2019) as the character Mr. Dutta. Neither role made him a household name, but they established him as a reliable presence in Hindi television. That's not nothing. The pivot to Punjabi cinema is where things get more interesting. *Respect* (2022) marked an early foray into the Punjabi film space, but *Ardaas Sarbat De Bhalle Di* (2024) is the film that actually landed. Winning Best Supporting Actor and Best Screenplay at the Filmfare Awards 2025 — for the same project, which is a genuinely rare thing for one person to pull off — put Dhamija in a different conversation entirely. Hard to say if the screenplay win surprises people more than the acting one, but together they signal someone who understands storytelling from multiple angles, not just performance. On the production side, his role as Managing Director of Vintage Motion Picturez and NYD Group means he's not waiting around for roles to come to him — he's building the infrastructure to create them. The upcoming *Carry on Jattiye* (2026), listed in his filmography on Bollywood Hungama, suggests he's staying active on both fronts. A career that once looked like a slow television burn now reads more like a deliberate long game, one that's starting to pay off in hardware.
