Whigham's screen career kicked off in 2016 with the short film Pinky — a modest start, but a start. From there she moved through a stretch of supporting television work, including appearances on Shameless, Son of Zorn, and The Orville, the kind of credits that don't make headlines but absolutely matter for an actor learning the craft in front of a camera. The real inflection point came with 13 Reasons Why. Playing Kat in the show's first season put her inside one of Netflix's most-discussed (and most-debated) series of the late 2010s. She followed that with Amy Bendix in Season 2 of The Punisher — a recurring role in the Marvel Netflix universe that gave her considerably more screen time and a character with a genuinely complicated backstory, the kind of role where you can feel an actor doing real work. She also appeared in Sierra Burgess Is a Loser in 2018 and took on the role of Beth in Scream: Resurrection, the third season of the Scream anthology series, which leaned hard into the franchise's slasher roots. On the film side, her credits include Saving Zoë (2019, as Carley), What We Found (2020, as Cassie), and the 2025 release Marshmallow, where she plays Rachel. That last one is worth flagging — an 83% Rotten Tomatoes score is genuinely good, and it's her highest-rated project. Hard to say if Marshmallow will be the thing that shifts how the industry sees her, but the numbers don't lie. Her most sustained current gig is Blaire Bennett in the Peacock series Ted, which ran from 2024 to 2026 and represents her biggest comedic platform yet (TMDB).
