Lisa Berry is a Canadian actor born November 6, 1979, in Richmond Hill, Ontario, who built her career across a wide range of television and film work before landing the role that most audiences now associate with her name: Jody Mills on the long-running supernatural drama Supernatural. She didn't arrive at that role overnight. Years of steady work in Canadian productions and smaller American network appearances gave her the kind of technical grounding that tends to show up on screen as ease — that quality where an actor seems to inhabit a scene rather than perform it.

What's striking is how Berry's run on Supernatural (she joined the cast in 2016, appearing in Seasons 12 through 15) managed to turn what could have been a supporting function into something more dimensional.
