Fouéré's career didn't follow a straight line — and that's exactly what makes it interesting. She built her reputation first in theatre, developing a stage presence that would later translate into an uncanny ability to hold a film frame with very little effort. Her work spans genres that don't usually share the same filmography: art-house drama, horror, historical epic, prestige television. That range isn't accidental. The Northman (2022) was arguably her highest-profile film moment to date — Robert Eggers' Viking epic, brutal and mythological, where Fouéré appeared as a seeress figure whose few minutes on screen carry the weight of prophecy. Hard to say if general audiences clocked her name from that one, but cinephiles did. Beyond film, she's collaborated with visual artists on projects like The Tower and Tremble at the Venice Biennale in 2017, a reminder that her practice has never been confined to a single medium. Television roles in The Crown (Season 5) and The Tourist (Season 2) have since broadened her audience considerably, and with The Watchers (2024), Tarot (2024), and The Actor (2025) already in the books, her current period might be her busiest yet.
