Dang's screen credits start appearing in 2017, with small roles in two very different network projects: the legal drama *Doubt* and the true-crime mockumentary *American Vandal*, the latter of which had a cult following almost immediately. Hard to say if those early roles led directly anywhere specific, but they placed her in rooms with strong creative teams. *The Romanoffs* (2018), Matthew Weiner's Amazon anthology, followed — another project with serious pedigree, even if the show itself got a mixed reception. The role that changed her visibility was Althea Shen in *Kung Fu* (The CW, 2021–2023). The series — a reimagining of the 1970s original, now centered on a Chinese-American woman returning from a Shaolin monastery — gave Dang a recurring platform across what became a three-season run. Althea functioned as the tech-savvy, sharp-tongued older sister, and the show leaned into her character's relationship dynamics in ways that gave Dang real material to work with (anyone who watched the Season 1 episodes dealing with Althea's workplace harassment storyline knows she didn't coast through those scenes). The CW's promotional materials highlighted her as a core cast member throughout the run. On the film side, *Tijuana Jackson: Purpose Over Prison* (2020) added a feature credit — she played Rachel Cho in the comedy. With *Jump Scare* and *Thinestra* both listed as upcoming 2025 projects (IMDb), she's entering what looks like a busier phase. Whether those projects break through or stay in the indie lane, the foundation she's laid across eight-plus years of consistent work isn't going anywhere.
