Tallulah Greive

Greive's earliest sustained screen role was Lauren in the CBBC series Millie Inbetween, which ran from 2014 to 2018 — four seasons of work that gave her a foundation most young actors would kill for, even if it didn't make her a household name outside the UK children's television audience. That kind of slow-burn apprenticeship matters more than it looks on a résumé. The shift into film came with Our Ladies (2019), director Michael Caton-Jones's adaptation of Alan Warner's novel, set in 1990s Scotland and following a group of Catholic schoolgirls on a day trip to Edinburgh. Greive played Orla, and the performance landed her on the BIFA Breakthrough Performance long-list — recognition from the British Independent Film Awards that doesn't get handed out casually. The film itself was critically well-received, and for Greive it was clearly the moment her film career became a real conversation. She followed it with two 2021 releases: Amazon's Cinderella, a splashy musical retelling in which she played Princess Gwen (a role that put her in front of a genuinely global streaming audience), and Locked Down, Doug Liman's pandemic-era heist film, where she appeared as Lily. Television has run parallel the whole time. Penance (2020), the ITV psychological thriller, gave her the role of Maddie — darker territory than Millie Inbetween, and a clear signal that she wasn't interested in staying in one lane. Then 2024 brought two projects at once: Boarders, in which she plays Beatrix in what appears to be an ongoing role, and My Lady Jane on Prime Video, where she recurs as Petunia. Hard to say if that double-landing in 2024 is coincidence or the result of years of groundwork paying off at the same moment — probably both. Stage work has continued throughout, most recently Anna Karenina at the Bristol Old Vic (Bristol Old Vic), which suggests she's not treating theatre as a fallback but as an active part of how she works.
