Yaakov Peri

Peri's career doesn't follow any recognizable arc — it jumps. Orchestral musician. Intelligence chief. Corporate executive. Politician. Each phase substantial enough to anchor an entire biography on its own. His most consequential role was as head of the Shin Bet, Israel's internal security agency, from 1988 to 1994 (Wikipedia, Shabak.gov.il).
